In the past, scripts were almost always .js. In more recent versions of Vegas, .cs has become a viable option and often preferred. So how can you tell if the text you see posted should be saved as .cs or .js? It's really very simple to determine.

Look at the top of the script and you'll see many lines like:

import Sony.Vegas;

or

using Sony.Vegas;

Notice that one version says "import" while the other says "using". This can tell you which extension you need:

import - .js extension
using - .cs extension

It's really that simple.

oh... i was going to say it's based on the language you wrote it in. Smile

Does it really matter? IE if you rename a .js to .cs does it still work fine or does vegas use the file extension to determine what the file is (i found out for a still image sequence, extension doesn't matter).
