If you don't have an IDE or your IDE does not support a runtime debugger, you can still use the CLR debugger that is included with the .Net Framework.

To launch the CLR Debugger, include the following line of code where you want debugging to start:
Code:
System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Launch();

When this line is reached, you will see a dialog asking if you want to start the CLR debugger. Answer Yes and you will now be able to run time debug your code. You must have created a debug build in order for the debugger to show your source code.

Is it possible to simply debug scripts that are launched from Vegas script menu and edited in normal text editor?
If yes, how?

In that case, I either add MessageBox statements letting me know how far I've gotten before the error occurs and give me key variable values or put statements in there to write to a log. Once I find the area where it's dying, I can then more closely look at the variables to see what is going wrong. However, it's not as nice as debugging from within the IDE.
