In this video we learn about the differences between a Custom Command found in the Extensions menus and a standard script found in the Tools – Scripting menu. Both have their uses and some tools are better suited for one of the other. You just need to decide if your tool should be a Custom Command or a standard Script.
Custom Commands are more difficult to create so the next several tutorials will be on how to make an extension for VEGAS. We will also discuss some limitations found in various development environments.
