Was wondering if there are any debugging tools that I can use in support of my scripting / learning experiments?

Was considering MS Visual J# Express 2005, probably an overkill but I would really like to be able to step through the script and set watches / breakpoints etc.

I recommend C# instead.

You can actually start Vegas and the script in debugging mode. Don't know if you want to go that far.

One thing I frequently do for a quick and dirty test is simply add MessageBox.Show statements to indicate I either got to a certain spot or show the value of whatever variable(s) I'm concerned about.

Considering I can't even spell See# or Jay# it probably makes no difference to me since I'll be starting from pretty much nothing in terms of knowledge apart from a little dabbling with VB.

I'll give the msgbox a try first. Thanks Edward!
