Rendering in VEGAS – Saving Snapshots from the Timeline – Part 6

In this final rendering tutorial, we look at how to save a snapshot from the timeline. This addition will save the frame at the current cursor position as a PNG image. This script could be easily modified to save a snapshot from all marker positions or any other location on the timeline allowing you to mark multiple shots and export them all at once.

While this script saves in the PNG format – which preserves transparency, a quick modification mentioned in the tutorial will allow saving a JPG instead. As PNG has transparency and JPG does not, PNG is usually the preferred format.
